Once again, we enjoyed our fellowship together at the church meeting hall. Almost 20 of us sit around the table, tasted delicious food, sang hymns and shared our experience of God's word.
Hymn #241 reveals how a life is changed: open our hearts and let Jesus live in our hearts.
我生命有何等,奇妙的大改变,自基督来住在我心;
A question was raised: how can we experience the change of life? Brothers and sisters shared wonderful testimonies of how God has changed their lives. First, we need to stay in the body of Christ and maintain a regular church life with sisters and brothers; second, we need to submit ourselves to Jesus, follow the spirit, and maintain a regular communication with God through prayers, calling on God's name, and reading God's word.

This past Lord's day is a day to remember, as two new brother and sister joined our family of Christ.
Brother Wang Baiqing and sister Ji Limei were baptised in the San Jose church meeting hall. We praise the Lord for dispensing new lives into them, for transferring them from the authority of darkness into the kingdom of the Son of the Father's love. May God continue to lead them, so they are continuously saved in life and reign in life for the body of Life.
We celebrated by making dumplings together at Tony's house.
Praise the Lord!

Friday Fellowship at Church Meeting Hall - Part II
The first question was a classic study case. We may cover it more in the future study of John 3. Here is my thought of related to these two questions.
God has its superior wisdom.
Chinese suffered a lot in the history. In my generation, we know a little bit about the terrible and horrible things in the Culture revolutionary. However, one thing on the other side the Culture revolutionary is that most religious beliefs were taken away. Most of young generation becomes agnostic, nonbeliever. So we do not have the religious attachment like Jewish people. So the openness to Bible is obvious among Chinese students and scholars. China was open to western world about 30 years ago, so many of them come to US to have opportunities to know Bible.
The Lord is the path, He prepared the path to know Him.
In recent economic recession many students have difficulties to find a job, so some of them gradually realize they cannot depend on their knowledge, abilities, and hardworking to achieve their needs. I believe that the God is managing all the situations, hints or reveals His desire to all of us go through situations, and to use people around the situation. His purpose is 叫爱神的人得益处. Many incidents seem normal or random, but we need to be alert to what happened to us. He uses the situation to reveal us that we should depend on Him instead of ourselves.

Friday Fellowship at Church Meeting Hall - Part I
We met at church meeting hall for the first time on Friday night March 19, 2010.
28 people (including 5 kids) were present. 10 gospel friends are students and visiting scholars from China. 4 of 12 saints are recently saved. Baiqin is to be saved in the coming Lord’s day.
Chinese Hymn 444: Experience God as our shepherd
The meeting was a wonderful experience of Him.
Before the meeting, it seemed the enemies attacked us. Some area of Milpitas and San Jose lost power for a while. Both Sister Shelley (going to Pang Fei’s house) and Sister Nancy had to rush finishing cooking. Gary had a flat tire on the highway. However, the meeting was full of His blessing exactly as described in the verse 5 of the hymn
During the dinner time, everybody was introduced to each other. We had student coming from China studying in high school, and saints who graduated in early 90s.
The hymn background was covered in the previous meeting. It is from the old testament

Friday Fellowship Welcomes New Faces
Praise the Lord for bringing new students to our fellowship.
Huang Zhun (黄准), Wei Zirui (魏子瑞), Xie Hao (谢浩), and Wu Shaodi (吴绍迪) are computer science Master students at SJSU, who just graduated and looking to start their career. May God lead them in their pursuit, and reveal Himself to them through the process.
Evera and Flora joined us from south San Francisco. Evera just moved to the bay area from New York after recently graduating from Columbia University, she and Yan were classmates.
Welcome everyone to our family!
We enjoyed Hymn derived from Psalm 23 :

平息处
罗马 三:24 但因神的恩典,借着在基督耶稣里的救赎,就白白的得称义。神摆出基督耶稣作平息处,是凭着他的血,借着人的信,为要在神以宽容越过人先时所犯的罪上,显示他的义。
Thank you Lord for gathering us again in front of your table. We praise you for your full salvation; we thank you for revealing yourself to us through the spirit.

Praise the lord for tonight group gathering. We are so joyful that there are two gospel friends to join the meeting first time( Huangzhun and Fan Zheng). More joyful is it that Wang baiqing is going to be baptized March 21. Lord! we worship you for this amazing grace upon brother Baiqing and you become his eternal life forever.
After dinner, We started with singing hymn: "Lord, keep my heart open and soft toward you". everyone was touched by this hymn and it is difinitely our prayers to our God at the moment.
"Lord, Keep my heart open and soft toward you.
Lord, draw my eyes to see nothing but you.
whatever may happen, I know you want to gain my heart.
Though I may not understand, just keep dispensing into my every part.
Make me a believer, by looking at you.
Standing on your word, faithful and true."

My Personal Story of Believing Into God
Thoery of life
I grew up in main land China, an environment where people learn to survive on their own, without acknowledging the existence of the all-mighty God who created the world and us in the first place. I too started to construct my own philosophy of the world, the origin of the universe, the purpose of life, the meaning of life, and the life after. I could not figure it all out, but was somehow able to construct a skeleton and get through most of the life situations. Life was treating me fairly well; I went to the best engineering university in China; came to one of the most prestigious graduate schools in the world, to study my favorite topic, electrical engineering. I felt my philosophy was working all right.
I came to know the existence of Bible and Christianity soon after I arrived Berkeley, but it was not until I met Yan, my wife, 4 years ago, that I began really studying the Bible and attending church services. I questioned myself: why do I need a new theory of life? From studying the Bible, and from knowing the joyful lives of Christian people, I acknowledged that the Bible is full of wisdom of life, and those people who believe in God must be able to lead a joyful life, but again, I question myself, is it for me?
